Derek Bryan

Derek Bryan is an Executive Protection Specialist with over 22 years experience in providing Security and Close Protection services.

 

Mr. Bryan has worked the entire spectrum of the Security industry, from Armed Security services to Nightclub Bouncer as well as Bodyguard services for high profile entertainers and high net worth dignitaries and corporate executives.

 

In 2001, Derek founded Ronin Security Group, a Southern California based security company that specializes in executive protection. In that time Ronin has developed a reputation for providing professional, discreet protection services to our clients.

 

Derek Bryan is a Marine Corps Veteran who was awarded Combat Action Ribbon and Navy Unit Commendation Medal while serving as a Scout/Sniper in Desert Storm.

As Three sport Varsity Athlete in High School, Derek developed a passion for fitness early in his teens, which has developed into a lifetime commitment to weightlifting and mixed martial arts.

 

In 2010, while preparing to deploy on a security detail to Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, it became evident to Derek that the need for cross trained security personnel was very high. The response and recovery resources needed were so great that many security operators with varied levels of medical training were supporting the medical response effort, while many medical staff were having to try to maintain resource and venue security, a daunting task while still trying to provide the medical support that was so desperately needed in the wake of such a catastrophic event.

Within a few months after the earthquake, Mr. Bryan enrolled in EMT school. Upon graduation as an EMT, Derek began to actively seek job assignments and training opportunities that allow him to combine his talent and experience in Personal Protection with a new found passion and well trained capabilities as an EMT.
